Episode Context

As the first of eight standalone episodes, each adapting a different Fujimoto one-shot from his formative years, this entry functions as both a tone-setter and a proof of concept for the anthology format. There's no serialized plot to track, every episode resets with a new story, new characters, and often a new studio at the helm. What this premiere establishes is the series' commitment to genre-blending and emotional unpredictability, giving viewers a reliable baseline for the creative range ahead.
