Tamon's B-Side
Oshimeter
Synopsis
At 17 years old, Utage Kinoshita has built her entire life around one thing: being a devoted fan of Tamon Fukuhara, the charismatic leader of idol group F/ACE. She works part-time as a housekeeper just to fund her fandom habit. Then one day she gets assigned to clean the apartment of a client named Tamon — and yeah, it's *that* Tamon. The twist is that behind closed doors, the guy is basically the opposite of his stage persona. Instead of the confident, wild frontman she worships, he's insecure, pessimistic, and kind of a mess. The whole show lives in that gap between who Tamon is on camera and who he is when the door closes, and watching Utage try to reconcile her idol fantasy with this deeply human version of him is both funny and genuinely sweet. J.C.Staff adapts the shoujo manga across 13 episodes, and the fictional idol group F/ACE actually gets original songs, which adds a nice layer to the whole thing. If you liked the idol industry deconstruction in Oshi no Ko but want something lighter and more romantic, this fits that niche well. There are also echoes of Skip Beat! in how it pulls back the curtain on showbiz while keeping the comedy front and center. It's a cozy watch — the kind of romantic comedy where the premise does a lot of heavy lifting and the character dynamics keep you coming back.
