Tales of Titillation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
What a nerdy high school kid will do just to sneak a peek at a girl's underwear is genuinely ridiculous. That's the setup for the first story in Kounai Shasei, a 3-episode OVA anthology from 1990, and it sets the tone perfectly for everything that follows. This is less about explicit content and more about comedic situations spiraling out of control in the most absurd, school-setting ways imaginable. Think awkward students, oblivious teachers, and misunderstandings that escalate faster than anyone involved can handle. Each episode is a collection of short, self-contained stories, so there's no continuity to track — just one ridiculous scenario after another, each with a different cast of characters. The humor lands somewhere between slapstick and dry situational comedy, and the retro late-80s animation style gives it a nostalgic charm that actually suits the lighthearted material. It's the kind of thing you watch in a single sitting without much commitment required. If you've seen Angel or Sakura Diaries and appreciated how those titles balance adult themes with genuine comedy, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of Peach! who enjoyed the anthology-style approach will also find familiar ground here. The source manga comes from U-Jin, a well-known figure in adult manga at the time, and his comedic instincts translate well to the format. It's not trying to be anything more than entertaining, and that honesty is part of what makes it work.
