Positioned at the halfway point of this four-episode series, Episode 2 builds directly on the threats introduced in Episode 1 and raises the stakes for Asagi and Sakura considerably. The groundwork laid here — escalating danger and deepening conflict between the sisters and the forces against them — feeds directly into the back half of the series. Episodes 3 and 4 will carry the weight of whatever is set in motion now.
