this series really loves emotional this ep is basically grief wrapped in beautiful visuals and creepy folklore ngl the directing gets surprisingly cinematic too like pretty shots everywhere not action heavy one of the better episodes so far

Kenapa semua karakter disini mencurigakan ya wkwk. Jadi tambah bingung sebenarnya yang jahat disini yang mana. Sangat membingungkan persoalan demon kali ini, ada aja kejutannya! BTW Akitsu gantenggggg parahhhh!!!!

To think we would see some acting like the old Suzune. I'm highly curious how Jinya will react to seeing her for real. Also, the spiritualist guy looks sketchy as hell.

Episode Context

Sitting at the one-third mark of a 24-episode season, Episode 8 opens a fresh narrative arc after Jinya's deeply personal reconciliation with his father in Episode 7 brought the previous storyline to a close. This installment introduces the Yoshiwara setting and the character Yotaka, establishing a new supernatural mystery that will carry forward. It signals the series' evolving pattern of pairing demon-hunting action with layered, emotionally resonant character arcs, pushing Jinya further into his role as protector.
