When Kirito saw Sachi during his fight, I felt a real pang of sadness because it so clearly showed me why he's so hell-bent on saving everyone else, even if it means putting himself out there. It's just so evident he's still carrying that heavy guilt from what happened with her, and I think it drives pretty much everything he does.
