Silica's Bitter Departure
Silica, a young Tamer, stands at a crossroads, her familiar Pina perched faithfully on her shoulder. She confronts Rosalia, her party leader, over perceived slights, specifically the unequal distribution of healing items. The dismissal of her concerns, and the implication that her dragon is merely a convenient substitute for her own needs, stings deeply. Feeling undervalued and treated as a mascot, Silica storms off, convinced that adventuring alone is preferable to such company.
Pina's Sacrifice
Lost in the Forest of Wandering, Silica is ambushed by Drunk Apes, their numbers overwhelming her meager defenses. She fights, but it is clear she is outmatched. In a sudden, heart-wrenching moment, Pina flies into the path of a fatal blow, shattering into shimmering blue polygons to save Silica. The beloved familiar is gone, leaving only a single, glowing feather behind, a brutal testament to its loyalty.
A Lone Swordsman Offers Hope
As Silica collapses in despair, the lurking monsters are swiftly dispatched by a mysterious swordsman, Kirito, clad in black. He moves with a silent, deadly efficiency that speaks volumes of his experience. Observing her grief, Kirito offers a sliver of hope: the Pneuma Flower, a rare item capable of resurrecting a familiar, if collected within three days. It grows on the 47th floor, but requires the pet's master to be present for its bloom.
A Practical Partnership
Kirito doesn't simply offer information; he equips Silica with superior gear and items, preparing her for the difficult journey ahead. He admits that she reminds him of his own younger sister, a softening detail that brings a slight flush to her face. With new equipment donned, they formalize their temporary alliance with a firm handshake, a pact between two strangers bound by a shared, albeit desperate, objective.
Whispers and Warnings
In the bustling town of Mishe, Silica's celebrity as 'the Dragon Tamer' is apparent, though she confesses to Kirito her feelings of fraudulence. Their conversation is cut short by the re-appearance of Rosalia and her guild, who mock Silica for her loss. Kirito's cold gaze answers Rosalia's cruelty, as Silica defiantly declares her intent to revive Pina. Later, over a meal, Kirito explains the ominous "orange" and "red" cursor colors, revealing the brutal reality of player killing. Back in her room, a knock reveals an eavesdropper, confirming the sinister intentions of Rosalia's group.
The Ascent to Floria
They arrive at Floria, the 47th floor, a place of vibrant flowers and perpetual spring, its beauty a stark contrast to the grimness of their mission. Silica is momentarily captivated, her anxieties momentarily forgotten. Before venturing into the monster-filled fields, Kirito gives her a high-level teleport crystal, a crucial safeguard, making her promise to use it should they be separated. This gesture underscores his protective nature and the inherent dangers they face.
Lessons and Confidences
As they traverse Floria's fields, Silica is made to confront formidable plant-like monsters alone, Kirito observing from a distance. She fights with her new equipment, gaining confidence and, significantly, achieving a level-up. During a respite, Kirito shares a glimpse into his own life, speaking of his aunt and cousin, whom he considers a sister, and the guilt he carries from prioritizing games over family. This shared vulnerability deepens their nascent bond.
The Pneuma Flower
Finally, they reach the Hill of Memories and the summit where the ethereal, bell-shaped Pneuma Flower blooms, pulsating with a soft white light. Silica approaches it with a mixture of awe and desperate hope, her eyes welling as she gently plucks the flower. The means to resurrect Pina is now in her hands, a fragile victory. Kirito congratulates her, but wisely cautions against immediate use, sensing lingering threats.
The Trap on the Bridge
Their return journey is abruptly halted on a narrow bridge, an ambush laid by Rosalia and her guild, Titan's Hand. Rosalia drops her pretense, revealing herself as the leader of a murderous 'orange' guild, admitting she sent a spy to track them. She demands the Pneuma Flower, intending to profit from Silica's grief. Silica is terrified, but Kirito steps forward, his hand on his sword, revealing his true motive: he has been hunting Rosalia's group.
A Monster Among Men
Titan's Hand, confident in their numbers, attacks Kirito in a coordinated assault. To their shock, and Silica's horrified amazement, Kirito stands unmoving, allowing their blows to land. His health bar barely fluctuates, his 'Battle Healing' skill regenerating damage faster than they can inflict it. He calmly declares his level to be 78, a number so far beyond theirs that it paralyzes them with terror, revealing him as a legendary 'Clearer.'
The Price of Cruelty
With the criminals demoralized and cowering, Kirito produces a Corridor Crystal, an item linking to the game's prison, the Black Iron Palace. He calmly orders the members of Titan's Hand to enter, one by one, effectively incarcerating them. Rosalia attempts a desperate escape, but Kirito intercepts her, forcing her compliance with a silent, steel-cold threat. As the last criminal vanishes, Silica gazes at Kirito, awe mixed with a somber understanding of the gulf between their worlds.
A Farewell and a Promise
Back in the safety of the inn, the moment for Pina's revival arrives. Under Kirito's steady gaze, Silica places the Pneuma Flower over the single feather and recites the activation command. Light engulfs the room, and Pina slowly materializes, chirping happily as Silica tearfully embraces her. Later, as Kirito prepares to depart for the front lines, Silica thanks him, making a heartfelt promise to catch up to him and meet him in the real world one day.
EPISODE REVIEWS

It felt a bit weird how Silica was basically used as bait the whole time and she felt more like a mascot than an actual partner but the ending with Pina was nice

Kirito just standing there and taking all those hits without his health bar moving was insane because it made those player killers look like absolute amateurs who stood zero chance
