When Asuna talked about their real bodies just lying in those hospital beds, it just completely reframed everything for me; I'd almost forgotten about the actual outside world, and that conversation just made the whole death game feel brutally real and so much more urgent than before, like their actual lives are slipping away even while they're fighting.
