The story building is great in this episode, everything made sense. Everything on the enemy side is pushing and gaining momentum. Asuna's decision is a mixture of unexpected and Asuna being Asuna. All I can say is it's a collective connection from all the previous SAO seasons. The ending is cinematic and dramatic.
