Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld

The finale is just a bridge to the next season. Its understandable but a bit underwhelming. You will have to watch the next season in order to be satisfied, with that said, it leaves you yearning for more!

For this being the last episode before the finale, its kind of underwhelming. You wont expect much action going in but loads of story building up to the last episode. Even though there is little to no action, you shouldn't miss this episode

Amidst the chaos, there is still warmth. Thats what i felt watching this episode. Alicia and Asuna's attitude towards each other when it comes to Kirito is quite funny. The story broadens as Asuna gathers more information about the world.

The battle between Sheyta and Iskahn tells you more of their character, personality and surroundings. They are opposites but you can tell only if they were on the same side, they will rival each other, and what a cliffhanger that was! Im very excited to see whats next. You should not skip this episode

This is such a wonderful episode with great story telling and beautiful visuals. In this episode will make you sympathize with the enemy while hating some of them. You should not skip this episode

The raw destructive power of Alice is beautifully portrayed at this episode. Renly's past is revealed at the start of the episode that will make you forgive him from running away, he redeemed himself. This episode is a must watch as it adds more information to his character

Holy visuals! This episode is a must watch. Just the pure chaotic motion of the war will get you excited to whats to come! You can tell how strong the humans are from this episode. Incredible visuals and sound effects

This episode is emotionally charged. We finally got to see the two students that Kirito and Eugene saved. Its a nice callback to that plot. Even though were still in the middle of the season, it feels like we are preparing for the last two episodes! cant wait to see more.

This episode is really dark as it focuses on the past of the Emperor but ultimately, This episode can be skipped as its a power fantasy but if you want to see how psychotic the Emperor is, viewers discretion is advised

This episode heavily focuses on the overworld or the real world. You can really tell that there is something that's bound to happen, like a ticking time bomb. This episode should not be skipped as it hold important information that will help you understand the story and the upcoming conflict

The first few minutes of the episode is already filled with brilliant scenes. You can feel the authority of Alice when she was speaking with the townspeople. She is a force to be reconned with. The other half of the episode focuses on the "overworld" or the real world which balances the episode.

And intense action we're having in this episode. What a twist of events. We are gaining more members in this episode. Things are going south for Asuna. Also, what a dramatic and cinematic entrance for Sinon. I'm just sad that it's a cliffhanger episode.

Just what did he do? What a total evil. I'm glad that Yui is quick to make a decision. The world-building and story-building that connect every SAO from this season are so good. I also like how they used AL. The whole conversation in there gave me goosebumps. And an emotional and critical ending.

I still can't forget how Asuna's entrance was so dramatic and so cinematic. And the rivalry is there. This episode leans toward character building and a dialogue-heavy episode without much action. I like how they used the SAO Season 1 background music in the end scene.

I like the mixture of that calmness and the violence of the character Lady Sheyta. This episode doesn't have full episode action scenes, but the animation is still on point. It has breathing room for dialogues. As the scenes makes the situation harder, an unexpected character arises.

What a powerful strike from Alice, defeating most of the enemies. What an undesirable scene from the enemy's side. The battle continues getting intense. The animation is still hype. There is just a bit of inconsistency in the animation.

An emotional lore for Renly. What a bad position for Tiese and Ronie to be in. I'm glad Renly was there, it helped him go back to his senses.

The action scene never fails. It's just starting, and yet the quality of animation, the sound design, and the cinematography are already great. Everything is so immersive. Even the glitches are created so well.

We can smell jealousy in this episode. This episode leans toward emotional scenes and understanding. I understand Alice's reaction towards Lady Fanatio. I don't like how Alice is talking in this episode. It kind of looks like she's saying goodbye. The next episode will surely be action-packed.

The opening scene adds mystery to the story. Vesta's declaration gave me chills. This episode is not for the faint-hearted. Story-building episode. The lore is intriguing and mysterious.
