Episode Context

As the first of twenty-six episodes, this premiere serves as the essential foundation for the entire series, establishing both the ancient mythological stakes and the grounded mortal world where Jing Tian's journey begins. Nothing precedes it, every character introduction and tonal choice here is designed to set expectations for the adventure ahead. The fateful encounters introduced in this episode are the seeds for the larger narrative arc that will unfold across the full season.
