After losing her husband, Yuriko is struggling to keep his traditional Japanese inn from going under, so she's had to get creative with the kind of services she offers guests. The bills don't stop, though, so she's had to get creative with the kind of services she offers guests. It's not exactly what her husband had in mind for the place, and she's not proud of it, but rent doesn't pay itself. Then a stranger shows up — injured, no ID, no memory of who he is — and she takes him in. His name becomes Kenji, at least for now. As he recovers, the two grow close, and Yuriko tries hard to keep her side business hidden from him. That doesn't last long. What makes this 2-episode OVA interesting isn't just the obvious adult content — it's the quieter layer underneath it. There's a woman carrying real grief, managing a real business, and trying to hold her dignity together while doing what she has to do. Kenji's amnesia gives the story a strange tenderness; he's figuring out who he is while she's trying to remember who she was before loss reshaped her. If you've watched something like Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs or Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi and found yourself wanting the inn atmosphere with more mature, complicated relationship dynamics, this scratches a different version of that itch. It's short, it's adult, and it has more emotional texture than you'd expect from a 2003 visual novel adaptation.
