Episode Context

Positioned at episode 22 of 26, 'Towards That Summer' follows 'Footprints in the Waves,' which introduced the devastating thread of Hairi's fading memories, and now reckons with the emotional fallout of that development. This is the series transitioning into its final act, processing the summer's accumulated weight before the closing stretch. It directly sets up the next episode, 'Nanami,' which will pivot into new character-driven developments as the story approaches its conclusion.
