Episode Context

Sitting at the midpoint of the 26-episode run, 'Priestess of Sorakado' directly follows the supernatural seeds planted in 'The Summer Butterfly and the Night Girl,' escalating the island's mystical elements from background curiosity to central narrative focus. This episode serves as a crucial bridge, deepening Ao's backstory and the spiritual framework of the island before leading into 'A Pair of Butterflies,' where those mysteries continue to unravel. It marks the series' deliberate pivot from slice-of-life warmth toward heavier, lore-driven storytelling for the season's second half.
