Episode Context

Positioned between Episode 1's couple-focused Christmas story and Episode 3's look at Makoto's past connections, this middle episode functions as the OVA's emotional pivot point. It broadens the series' lens beyond the central couple by introducing Rui's perspective, expanding the thematic conversation around relationships and what draws people toward or away from commitment. This episode effectively bridges two character-centric bookends, giving the three-episode run a sense of deliberate structural variety.
