The first episode really sets the stage for the series going forward and brings you to rewatch it again once your finish the series to realize the foreshadowing. It deliberately places the audience in Okabe's unstable perspective with contributing factors being that Kurisu seemingly already knowing him , the strange scream , the satellite crash and the text message altering reality.
