In a painful scream, Okabe has a very familiar feeling that is followed by strange visions of a future that has not happened yet. Could the Reading Steiner really have activated again? And if so, how when the time machine has not being invented in the Beta Timeline yet?

This episode felt a little disappointing. I expected them to expand on the cliffhanger a little more, given they explicitly showed RIntaro's breakdown in the previous cliffhanger and the beginning of this episode. The anticipation is there, but there is none of the promised substance.. BUT knowing this series, it'll come up again later and blow up in the character's faces.

Holy crap, Moeka being reintroduced was definitely not on my bingo card. Her relationship with Okabe is definitely one of the more interesting dynamics in the series. The two are flawed individuals who contrasted so sharply in their factions, the emotional battle was coming from a mile away.

The focus shifts to Daru in this episode. It's admittedly underwhelming, but works to build anticipation and lead up to a great cliffhanger at the end. We also didn't see much exploration on his character during the original series, so seeing that this one may (potentially) explore his character a little more is intruiging.

Daru really shines through in this scene, adding an unusual amount of depth to the show. This is undoubtedly one of those episodes that relies heavily on info-dumping, but the tone makes it work, particularly the psychological horror elements.
