Amadeus, an AI made out of people’s memory and a project of Hiyajo Maho and Alexis Leskinen developed from the paper and research of none other than Makise Kurisu! But with a truly amazing technology like this, things couldn’t be that simple, right? Especially for Okabe, someone who knew Kurisu and then, when asked if he wanted to talk to Amadeus…

This series so far resonates less with me. The time travel aspect is dialed way back, it's all over. With Amadeus as the new point of focus, I worry that Rintaro will develop some parasocial relationship with the fake Kurisu?? He's been through so much already, let my guy rest..

Seems like Okabe and Kurisu have to start over yet again. It's been a while since there was a total reset in terms of their relationship, so the concept if them meeting again for the first time again felt a little alien and brought back the sad undertones that previously drove the series forward.

SInce Kiyajo was introduced so suddenly, her emotional breakdown regarding Makise felt like a grab for an emotional scene rather than meaningful character exposition. The way she told Okarin about their relationship so quickly made it feel pretty insincere honestly.

okay so this ep drops a whole new concept on you and ngl it might take a second and it hits so hard like basically what the entire show ends up being about emotionally. also Maho is just continuously carrying. dont try to skip this one

This episode foreshadows something with the use of its visuals. Indeed, this episode is rather calm, although it seems more deliberate due to the better direction. In terms of animation, there hasn’t been any changes.

EPISODE CONTEXT

While Amadeus introduces a compelling emotional core and Maho shines, Scouts find the reduced time travel focus and rushed character moments detract.
