I think seeing Loid lose his friends for the second time was the hardest part because he finally felt like a kid again with them. Watching him cut onions while finding out they died in a meat grinder because of bad intel made my stomach turn. It makes his whole mission to stop war feel so much more personal and heavy now

That little boy's face when the bomb exploded and his fish went sliding, it just crushed me. I can't imagine the terror of having your world literally blown apart in a split second; it really puts into perspective the stakes they're all living with.

Franky being a deserter hiding in the bushes was such a weird way for them to meet and their argument about propaganda and labels was actually pretty deep for this show

Loid's raw cry for his mother amidst the rubble really got to me, that was just so much harsher than I expected from his backstory. Anya's warm onion soup right after was a total lifesaver for my own heart, it felt like I desperately needed that little bit of comfort.
