The episode was great tbh! But I felt the Franky and Fiona were good together as a duo! I mean the teamwork. It was a good episode i really enjoyed

this duo was unexpectedly fun to watch 😭 the contrast is just so good, one is super blunt while the other stays calm the whole time. it feels a bit awkward, but that’s what makes it even funnier

WE ARE SO BACK! The energy right out of the gate was insane. Seeing the balance between Loid’s missions and the family domesticity feels so nostalgic yet fresh. Nightfall is such a girlboss, and the WISE vs. SSS tension is already making my palms sweaty!

Pacing is quick and energetic, reintroducing the spy, assassin, family balance right away. Animation looks crisp with great facial expressions and smooth action. Nightfall gets more screen time and the usual WISE vs. SSS tension kicks in. Tone is fun domestic moments

This premiere is a masterclass in reintroducing a beloved cast without feeling stagnant. It’s appealing because it expands the world beyond the core trio, proving that secondary characters like Franky and Fiona can carry their own high-stakes (and hilarious) narratives.

That worker having a total breakdown while driving the crane felt a bit dark for a park visit but Loid handling it with the other machine was impressive

I was dying when Anya realized her lie about wanting to study meant she actually had to sit there and do math, she really played herself this time

Yor shattered that huge concrete wall with a single kick and it was the coolest thing ever she really is on a different level compared to everyone else in this show

Yor casually booting that massive concrete slab to save the old man was wild, I swear my eyes popped out watching her hidden strength come out! The funniest part was Loid completely engrossed in his heavy machinery simulator, totally unaware of the superhuman feat happening right behind him – that man truly commits to a cover.

The animation on Anya eating that three scoop ice cream cone was so bouncy and smooth and it really shows how much budget they put into this return

The park scene with the excavator was fine for being anime original but the mission with Nightfall and Franky felt more like the story parts that people missed

Anya using Bond to see that construction disaster coming was great and her fake studying excuse was so funny because it totally backfired on me when I had to watch her suffer through math later

Loid and Yor taking down that excavator without even looking at each other was so cool and the animation quality is seriously movie level for a TV premiere

Nightfall and Franky going undercover in those ridiculous outfits at the bar made the second half of the episode great and her combat skills are actually terrifying

Franky in that giant afro wig is the height of undercover fashion and the way Fiona just ignores his constant flirting makes their dynamic so much fun to watch

The recap at the beginning was a little bit slow, but things picked up once Bond had that vision of the excavator. Anya trying to get her parents to leave by claiming she wanted to go home and study was a classic move, and watching Nightfall and Franky try to navigate that club in those costumes was a treat

I couldn't stop laughing when Anya started crying over her math books after her fake study plan backfired

Bond having a vision of that excavator and Anya trying to be a hero by pretending she wanted to go home and study was so funny

The way Bond just collapsed after seeing a vision of the gross dinner Yor cooked was the most relatable thing in the whole episode

Watching Yor casually kick a massive chunk of falling concrete to save an old man and his dog reminds you she is actually the strongest person in this show

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the Season 3 premiere, this episode serves as a reentry point — reestablishing the Forger family dynamics, Nightfall's role in the espionage world, and Franky's value as a supporting player before the season ramps up. It deliberately keeps things light and character-focused, building the foundation for the next episode's deeper dive into Anya's school struggles and a significant character backstory arc. Think of it as the season planting its feet before the real momentum kicks in.
