The first thing to consider about this anime is that the animation feels rough and inconsistent, but it's also important to remember that this series is from 2016. There are very static shots and distorted faces, and then suddenly there are scenes with great fluidity. The characters are very stereotypical, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it doesn't exactly inspire genuine interest in following their stories. The story itself is the strongest aspect of this series: exorcists and pacts with spirits, which makes you want to keep watching to see how things unfold.

A pretty decent start! As is usual for Chinese animations, it's half the run time of a typical anime episode, so a lot of information has to be conveyed in this short amount of time. While this is a pacing I'll have to get used to, so far the plot is pretty clear and understandable. I do look forward to seeing more from here, Keika sounds childish but seems like an interesting protagonist due to his chilled out personality.

The setup of this story relies on some pretty common tropes LOL 😅And Keika is SO UNSERIOUS 😂 The animation is a bit limited and the art style looks dated for something that came out in the 2010s, but the visuals are serviceable. There’s definitely a BL undertone in this animation, but I do wonder how far they’ll take it 😌💍 Interesting start~
