Episode Context

Episode 22 directly follows the disruption caused by Aoi Ogata's appearance in Episode 21, which forced Hikari to confront uncomfortable truths about her feelings for Kei. This episode serves as the emotional processing stage, deepening Hikari's self-awareness before the final two episodes bring the series' central romance to its resolution. With only two episodes remaining, this is the penultimate setup, the calm, introspective beat before the climax.
