EPISODE REVIEWS

The story took a slower and more atmospheric route this time, and I liked the change of pace. It felt different from the episodes before it, giving more room for the mood and themes to stand out. It didn’t drag either, which helped make the slower moments work better. Worth checking out if you like the more atmospheric parts of the series.

The series wants to use a revolution plot without actually understanding the political complexities to make the buildup compelling to follow (because there's no buildup to begin with). I liked the Maetel vs. her mother thread even if it's sorta contextless within the series because at least it's somewhat interesting.

This is the episode where the series sheds its remaining lightheartedness and embraces full tragic opera. Promethium surrendering to save Maetel is a stunning character moment after five episodes of cold, calculating cruelty, we finally see a crack in the armor.Maetel's journey to Larela is a classic and the surprise attack on the rebels adds chaos and urgency. And chao is what I like most.
