EPISODE REVIEWS
This one gave a character who was mostly in the background before a chance to stand out more. I liked seeing a different side of them, and the emotional parts worked without feeling stretched out. The small details from earlier episodes also made the payoff feel more satisfying. Worth watching if you’ve been following the little hints and character moments throughout the series.
We don't have nearly enough character development to call the ending of this episode deserved at all. It tries to be all emotional and it fails. This series is way too eager to discard any character for any reason. Also the music tries to be way too epic for what the animation is capable of.
This episode is heavy. Like. I knew Leopard was probably going down at some point. The show had been hinting at it. But watching it happen, Oof. There's this moment where he's just done. He's fought, he's led, he's given everything. And then he's gone. One of the mechanized soldiers manages to take him out. But even in death, he's that guy. Burnbarrel loses his right eye in the same battle. super perfect episode.
