I like it when an anime gives context to its characters—a backstory. That’s what we get in this episode, and it really clears up any doubts about Gouta's personality and how learning that mage blood runs through his veins affected his life. Up until now, every single episode of this anime has had a nostalgic vibe because of the animation style. Now that we know more about Gouta, I’d love to see his character development unfold throughout the rest of the episodes.
