Synopsis
Running an in-home tutoring agency, Yumi is pretty good at keeping things running smoothly, until a client request lands on her desk with no good options. The only tutor available is Kouta, a guy with an abrasive personality and a history of getting results through methods that are, to put it generously, questionable. There's already a lawsuit hanging over the company because of him. Yumi wants nothing to do with assigning him to this job. Kouta, naturally, disagrees, and he's not above applying pressure to get what he wants. The 2-episode OVA from studio Nur leans into the tension between these two characters, using a workplace setting to frame a story about professional ethics, personal boundaries, and what happens when someone has just enough leverage to be genuinely dangerous. The dynamic between Yumi and Kouta carries most of the weight here; it's not a comfortable watch, and that's kind of the point. If you've ever watched something like Toradora! and appreciated stories built around friction between two people who can't quite escape each other's orbit, the interpersonal tension here scratches a similar itch, though the tone is considerably darker and more adult. It's a short commitment at two episodes, and it doesn't waste time getting into the conflict. Go in knowing it's a mature title and that the workplace setup is doing real narrative work, not just window dressing.
