As the series premiere, this episode exists to lock in the comedic formula that will carry all twelve episodes: Princess Syalis's relentless, inventive pursuit of sleep inside the Demon King's castle. It introduces the core cast of demon residents who will become recurring foils and reluctant accomplices throughout the season. Everything here is foundation-laying, establishing the character dynamics and comedic rhythm that subsequent episodes will iterate on with increasingly creative sleeping quests.
