Episode Context

Sitting at episode 88 of 101, this installment arrives deep in the series' endgame and directly follows Rukawa's bold declaration about playing in America and Coach Anzai's pushback against that ambition. The reflective tone here serves as a crucial bridge, processing the tension from Episode 87 while laying the psychological groundwork for Episode 89, where Rukawa's evolved mindset translates into tangible on-court improvement and shifts in team dynamics.
