Synopsis
Years ago, humanity almost got wiped out by huge magical armored insects that had become too strong and aggressive to handle. Because of these giant bugs, humans do not live on the earth anymore, but in floating cities instead. However, this does not mean that everything is lost, because the wizards from prestigious floating wizard academies are fighting these monsters. Kanata Age is a young man now labelled as a traitor even though he was once praised as the "Black Master Swordsman." He gets a chance to repair his reputation by instructing the team E601, which seems to be facing some difficulties. It consists of three girls, Misora Whitale, Lecty Eisenach, and Rico Flamel, each with problems of their own. It appears that Kanata will get in deep waters more than once because of them...

With team E601 victory in the tournament and the dangerous attack of Real Nua, Sky Wizard Academy brings us a finally with an intense final battle. But while it delivered a good battle, I’m afraid to say the episode and the show as a whole leaves a lot to be desired, with too many mysteries left unsolved, questions that could be addressed if the show had a better pacing or at least a few more episodes to flesh out its world.
After getting a very emotional first victory, team E601 has a chance to progress into the tournament with the very anticipated matches that had been built upon until now. That, unfortunately is ruined by a bad pacing highlighting the weird choices made on the previous episodes that focused too much on the setup leaving the execution on this episode to be desired.
After a long setup episode it is finally time for the tournament to begin! But with the girls still not fully working as a team, do they even have a chance to win any matches? Sky Wizard Academy delivers another good episode after a few dull setup ones, creating a good hook up for the final two episodes.
The girls training and preparation for the tournament continues even thought it might seem confusing and even counterproductive for them. Meanwhile the mystery behind the assault intensifies. This episode even though is still part of the big setup for the tournament, slowly advances the plot by giving the assault mystery a bit more of attention at the cost of the overall pacing of the show.
A good tournament arc cannot start without some training and some heated rivalry and this episode delivers just that, specially with Yuri and Kanata. With the girls from team E601 intensifying their training, the show continues to set up the tournament arc but meanwhile, a mystery starts to spread in the academy…
After showing some incredible and mysterious strength, Kanata was able to defeat the Chimera Beetle, but that just highlighted that really is something going on with him. Meanwhile, the academy moves to a tournament arc, a tournament that could end up being really important for team E601. With mysteries pilling up and more action in the horizon, Sky Wizards academy is amping up the intrigue in its second half of the season.
After all the hard training it is finally for the girls to show the results in their ranked match… Or so they hoped, but a swarm of devil beetles calls for a change of plans. After hearing for 6 episodes about how dangerous those beetles are, it is finally time for us to see that for ourselves, giving us an episode with some thrilling action.
The keys to victory, with Misora and Lecty progressing with their training that only leaves Rico, as the stubborn one refusing to participate. But what could be the reason for her stubbornness? Finally we have an episode that starts to dive a bit into Rico, one of the most intriguing characters of the show and the one with the most fun personality from the main trio.
The past holds a lot of memories. Happy memories, painful memories, and a lot of times, the reason of a person’s stubbornness or determination. This episode gives us a look into the past of Misora, helping us to better connect with the character while flashing out a tiny bit of the world of Sky Wizard Academy.
If you want to get better, stronger the only thing that you can do is training, practice makes perfect after all. But is there any kind of special training that can make these girls, known for being the weakest of school, actually improve? Another solid episode that shows that besides the awkward introduction, the show does actually have some good potential.
Being put to be a instructor to a trio of oddballs, Kanata sure has quite a fair amount of work ahead of him. With a bit more of an exposition about the world and its characters, this episode is better than the previous one, and personally, I believe would have worked better as a first episode, at the very least would make for a better first impression.
A floating academy in the skies, wizards that fly and fight monstrous beast and a eccentric cast of characters. That, at first glance sounds like a good recipe for a very interesting show, but somehow it all seemed a bit confusing? Sky Wizard Academy has a interesting setting but it failed to deliver a good first impression.
This is a good conclusion for the series. We can see the best teamwork in this episode. The storyline and fight scenes were solid from beginning to end. The only issue is the fight scenes felt too rushed and simple. Giving it 8/10
The storyline has 2 parts. The beginning until mid-episode focuses on a tournament fight, so it’s not as intense. At the end, the battle shifts to a life-or-death situation, making the pace much faster. This episode gave us happy, exciting character moments before ending with a shocking, jaw-dropping twist.
This episode focuses more on Misora’s character development. I love the pacing. It’s not too rushed. The emotions were disappointment and sadness at the beginning, but it turned happy at the last moment. We also get some hints at the end about the next episode and how strong the villain is going to be.
The episode is well balanced between training, character development, and romance. The emotions reached us, and the fight scene at the end was satisfying too! It was slow at the beginning, but at the end it got fast.
This is a slow-paced episode. It blends with the romance concept and there's a scene that's not suitable for kids, even though it's indirect. Overall, this episode focuses more on conflict and romance development before another cliffhanger occurs at the end!
To be honest, the storyline dragged to an unimportant event. After the fight scene, then the tournament. The plot was kinda messy in this episode and felt rushed. But the idea was brilliant and enjoyable after the second half. Watch it if you care about the storyline, skip it if you can't handle boring parts that could make you sleepy.
The action scene was satisfying. Tension built from the start, and the episode ended with Kanata's moment and superpower. The begihad too much talking that slowed the pace, but the second half was great. Only the explosion graphics looked a bit weird.
A great pace of the story progress..a nice visual of action and good dialogue..a twist of unexpected turn of event..great wrapping for the series..nice and enjoyable shows to watch.
