This episode explains the concept of "dead books" books that don't sell well and must eventually be returned to the publisher through a distributor. It was fascinating to learn how bookstores manage unsold inventory and only restock certain titles if customers specifically request them. The episode provides another interesting look behind the scenes of the publishing business.
