Shitasaki kara Koi 3rd Season picks up their story in this strange little 'cakeverse' where attraction is tied to dessert metaphors, and the whole thing leans into how absurd that sounds while still delivering genuine BL chemistry between its leads. If you haven't seen the first two seasons, each one is only a few short ONA episodes from studio AQUA ARIS, adapted from the manga — you can catch up in basically one sitting. The comedy here works because it commits to its ridiculous premise without winking at the camera too hard. Tatsunari and Naruya's dynamic has this push-and-pull energy where Tatsunari's jaded attitude keeps bumping up against Naruya's natural appeal, and it's fun to watch them figure each other out. If you liked the playful tone of Love Stage!! or the way Sekaiichi Hatsukoi handles its couples with a mix of humor and warmth, this hits a similar spot but in a much more compact format. Three episodes, no major time commitment, and a concept you genuinely haven't seen before. Worth a look if you want something light and a little offbeat in the BL space.
