I feel sad for the characters for what they are going through. Aside from that, you will literally question morality in this episode. It’s nice to see two sides of the coin with how Noboru and Kou handled what happened to them. This will really make you think regarding their situation.
Okay, this episode got dark. I didn’t expect them to go into the ramifications of killing someone and losing loved ones. Really good writing.
This was a hard watch, so many conflicting ideals were on full display in this episode. In a way Kou, is right killing a person should weigh on you even if it was in selfdefense. Not something to revel in, though the backstory of Noboru clarifies that she isn't a blood thirsty warmonger as we first thought. Matter of fact if it was for context Kou would probably have felt worse about killing those soldiers. In a way Kou was lucky these soldiers were cartoonishly villainous if they had complicated life stories like Noboru we'd sympathize with them as well.
