With its animation, you can really tell that this is a 90s anime. The plot is straightforward, they immediately tell you what is happening and why it is happening. There is still a build up though so that you can anticipate the next episodes. It is a very engaging first episode.
Already off the bat, this show has a bunch of lore and backstory for the setting. The action and storytelling is great though, it’s making me intrigued on what happens next.
A solid first episode that makes sure to capture your attention in the first minute of viewing. I would have liked it more if narration was not involved. I’d feel it revealed more than it should I would have liked to learn and explore alongside our protagonist, with wise characters filling us in on the world around us. Good animation for the time it came out.
