Episode Context

This episode lands in the stretch following Episode 191's reveal that Misae is pregnant, a storyline that has been shaping the family-focused episodes around this period. Episode 197 functions as a breather from that arc, shifting the spotlight entirely to Shin-chan and his school friends in a self-contained mountain adventure. Subsequent episodes return to the pregnancy storyline and the Nohara family's preparations for their newest member.
