Synopsis
Saving failing hospitals everywhere he goes, Dr. Shinji Ishida carries a reputation built on methods that are exactly as provocative as you'd expect from a 2003 hentai OVA. The hospital is broke, morale is low, and then this guy walks in with a treatment philosophy that has patients coming back for more — enthusiastically, repeatedly, and with full wallets. The financial crisis resolves itself pretty quickly after that. This two-episode OVA from Studio Jam, adapted from a visual novel, keeps things grounded in a single setting — a struggling medical facility — which gives it more structure than a lot of titles in the genre. The hospital backdrop creates a weird tension between professional authority and completely unprofessional behavior, and that contrast is genuinely the whole joke and the whole appeal. Characters like Yumi, Chika, and Yumiko each get their moments with Dr. Ishida, and the tone stays more playful than grim throughout. If you've watched something like Night Shift Nurses and liked the medical setting angle, this covers similar territory with a shorter runtime and a slightly lighter touch. Fans of Bible Black or Discipline: The Record of a Crusade who want something self-contained and not too heavy will find this comfortable viewing. It's a short watch, the premise delivers exactly what it advertises, and it doesn't overstay its welcome.
