Shiawase nara Niku wo Morou! The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
For Chie, sweets, cakes, and eating well are genuine pleasures — which is fine until she overhears her classmates talking about calories and suddenly starts looking at herself differently. Cue a home workout routine and a motivated-but-uncertain girl trying to get her diet and exercise together. Her friend Taka is around to "help," and if you've seen any adult anime before, you already know where his version of helpful assistance goes. This single-episode ONA adapted from the manga keeps things light and pretty grounded for the genre. The setup is genuinely relatable — body image insecurity, the mild chaos of starting a diet, that specific awkwardness of working out around someone who clearly has feelings for you. It leans into that slice-of-life domestic energy before shifting gears into explicit territory, so the tonal transition feels earned rather than abrupt. The character designs are soft and detailed, and the animation holds up well for a short-form release. If you've watched something like Resort Boin and appreciated that warmer, character-driven setup before things escalate, this sits in a similar lane. Fans of Ane wa Yanmama Junyuu-chuu who like their adult content wrapped in a bit of everyday relatability will also find familiar ground here. It's not trying to be anything ambitious — it's a short, well-executed adaptation with a likable lead and a premise that actually has a little personality behind it.
