Shameshrine Andorora

Synopsis
On the kind of night where everything is going wrong, burned-out salaryman Kenichi finds a naked woman wandering the street on his walk home. He does the decent thing and takes her in, which turns out to be a much bigger decision than he realized, because Pinky isn't just a woman. She's an escaped military android, built for espionage, and now very much focused on Kenichi after a single kiss flips some deeply buried switch in her programming. That's the setup for this 2001 OVA from Obtain Future, and it leans fully into both sides of its sci-fi and adult premise without much hesitation. The android-falling-for-an-ordinary-guy angle will feel familiar if you've spent time with Chobits or DearS — that awkward, weirdly tender dynamic between a human and a machine figuring out what she is to him. Mahoromatic has a similar energy too, though this one skips the slow build and gets to the point in a single episode. It's not trying to be deep, but there's a genuine pulpy charm to the premise: a nobody suddenly becomes the most important person in the world to a being that could theoretically do anything. If you go in knowing exactly what kind of OVA this is, it delivers what it promises without overstaying its welcome.
