What's supposed to involve one princess, a sleeping beauty curse, becomes something far more complicated when Prince Alec shows up to break it and discovers there are seven. That's the setup, and it works better than it has any right to. Prince Alec arrives at the Kingdom of Amaryllis expecting a standard fairy tale, find the princess, deliver the kiss, save the day. Instead, he finds seven princesses in the tower, each one needing to be awakened individually. He does it. And then realizes the rest of the kingdom is still asleep, meaning the curse runs deeper than anyone knew. So now he's living with all seven of them while they try to figure out what's actually going on. The princesses: Flora, Chiara, Claire, Mia, Charlotte, Yuka, and Eliza: each have distinct personalities, which means the dynamic shifts constantly depending on who's in the scene. The tone sits somewhere between fantasy adventure and romantic comedy, leaning into the absurdity of the premise rather than ignoring it. If you liked Trinity Seven's mix of magic and harem chaos but wanted something rooted more in a fairy tale world, this scratches that itch. Fans of Akatsuki no Yona who appreciate a female ensemble cast with real personality will probably find the princesses here worth following. Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ SMASH are handling the adaptation, with the TV series set for 2027. Based on the manga source, the premise has enough layers beneath the comedy to keep things interesting past the initial gimmick.
