I think the animation was ahead of its time in 2009. The first episode is lively and does a great job showing the bond between Yukimura and his lord. It’s full of energy right from the start.

First time seeing the anime. I thought thus was only a game. My first thought was it felt like I was emersed in the game. Animation was great for a 2009 anime! But not a big fan of these types of anime so this episode is mid for me,. Unless they make a great plot.
