Synopsis
A first-year at a prestigious academy, Ume Mizunoe is great at Japanese literature and absolutely terrible at science, bad enough that she might not make it to second year. Her brilliant plan to save her grades: join the student council for the evaluation boost. The problem is, every single member is some flavor of weird. The president is charming in public but can barely make eye contact one-on-one. The treasurer is genuinely kind but looks like she could end you. There's a cheeky kid who knows exactly how cute he is, and a tiny secretary with stray-cat energy who just kind of showed up one day. What follows is Ume getting dragged into their chaotic daily nonsense while technically trying to fix her academic life. It's based on a 4-koma manga, so the humor hits in quick, punchy bursts: less drawn-out setups, more rapid-fire gags built around these personality clashes. The character designs come from the same artist behind ONIMAI, so expect that same expressive, distinctly charming look, and it's directed by the person who handled Nisekoi, which means the comedic timing should land well. If you liked the ensemble energy of Seitokai Yakuindomo or Student Council's Discretion, this is in that same lane: a school comedy where the student council room is basically a clubhouse for disasters. It's light, it's fun, and the cast dynamic carries the whole thing.

Tan trying to fix the swim club budget by selling special prints of the girls in swimsuits is exactly the kind of unhinged scheme this show needs. Then Arisu slams him into the wall as punishment. The brat and the disciplinarian pairing is carrying the comedy for me
Komaro waking up on the table covered in that nosebleed blood got a real laugh out of me after the panic fakeout. The stray cat energy is legit and that little rotoscoped kitten eating is going to live in my head for a while
The horror lighting in the night patrol segment caught me off guard for a gag show. Ume and Hisako both being awkward messes around each other is what keeps me watching
Passione really went and gave this raunchy comedy Bocchi-level character acting. Ume's tiny hand-touch freakout with Hisako got more animation care than most action shows give their fights
the truck hitting Ume's sister in the first two minutes and her just walking it off like nothing is the funniest thing I've seen all season. I kept waiting for the isekai portal to open. It never did.
The mint breath freshener thing nearly killed me. Watching her face twist while he's just standing there clueless was too much. Passione put way too much effort into that hose scene though

I genuinely thought the big sister would be the worst part of this episode before she showed up. then Sho put his underwear on her head and I realized everyone in this show is broken in their own special way
that mint breath freshener reveal broke me. the whole time you think it's just a normal awkward gag and then the box shows up on the floor. Tan screaming about her butt on fire is the funniest thing this show has done so far
Crude jokes and gag faces are not my thing and this episode leans hard on both. The Okayu scene had some warmth to it but the suppository sequence went places I did not want to follow. Not a bad show just not for me
Terui collecting dragonfly larvae out of the pool and then casually saying they're food for her fish is the exact kind of quiet unsettling joke this show loves. Half the cast is a menace and nobody acknowledges it
It goes strange in a way that most comedies are too scared to try. The suppository bit could have been gross and instead it leans on Ume's panic and the mint mistake so the punchline sneaks up on you. Terui quietly admitting she won science awards after all that tutoring setup also got me. There's something genuinely likable about these weirdos even when they're tormenting Ume
Sister walking in and putting his underwear on her head within ten seconds of screen time. No greeting. No build up. Just immediate chaos. Then she starts leaking his passwords in front of his coworkers. I laughed but that woman needs help
Ume finding the actual suppositories box after everything is the kill shot. Whole episode holds you in that moment where he puts it together. Cold and mint and fire all at once
Otori showing up to a pool cleaning in literal band-aids is absurd but the way everyone just argues about it instead of panicking makes it funnier. Alice dressed him apparently. Sure. Normal school stuff
Otori saying his parents are never around landed weirdly soft for a show about pool bleach and butt jokes. And then he ruins it two seconds later by being himself. That little swing is why this comedy works for me
Koma knowing more about Ume than his own sister who raised him is such a good joke. Sho shows up acting like she owns the place and gets completely outclassed by a small quiet girl with better intel. Terrifying sister gets humbled and it's what she deserved
The hose scene near the end of pool cleaning actually looks great. Water flying everywhere and everyone getting knocked around and you can tell they put real effort into the frames. Passione did not have to go that hard on a gag but they did
That was not medicine. That was a breath mint. In a suppository. I had to pause the episode and just sit there for a minute. Otori screaming about his butt while Ume slowly realizes what he did is the funniest thing this show has pulled off so far
Hisako getting teary when she sees Ume already bonding with Komaro broke my heart a little. That jealousy came out of nowhere and now I care way more about the shipping than I expected to
