To be honest, visually, Mugi and Hanabi really look good together. They remind me of one of my favorite ships too. The blonde boy and dark haired girl trope is something I really like🫶In this episode, there are new characters, and I feel like the relationships are becoming even more messy. Very messs!I think Moka’s character, who wants a first love like a prince and princess story, is just as crazy as Hanabi. Ecchan’s character is also very interesting to me, and I'm waiting more surprise from her👀
Episode 2 is an emotionally rich continuation that delves deeper into character relationships while examining the cost of using intimacy as a way to numb emotional pain. Importantly, the episode does not judge its characters; instead, it portrays them as making flawed choices stemming from genuine pain, treating them with empathy rather than condemnation.
More characters are introduced in this episode, and they make the whole aspect more confusing with their share of interest in Mugi and Hanabi’s lives. It seems everyone is suffering from unrequited love for one another. The mixed feelings portrayed here are exceptional. All human colours of feelings are in full display, and the director has done his part well.
