Scold with Dirty Words
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Your boss, Rei Misaki, has zero patience for your excuses. In this single-episode OVA from Studio Boogie Nights, she plays a sharp-tongued, authoritative supervisor who decides that standard HR procedures aren't going to cut it for her chronically late, underperforming subordinate. Her approach to workplace discipline takes a very different direction from anything you'd find in an employee handbook. The whole thing is set in a grounded contemporary office environment, which actually makes the power dynamics land harder than you'd expect — there's something about the mundane corporate backdrop that makes Misaki's particular brand of dominance feel more charged. The character design leans into mature aesthetics, and the tone commits fully to the dominant/submissive dynamic without much ambiguity about what it's going for. It's a short, focused runtime, so it doesn't overstay its welcome. If you've watched something like Kansen: Inyoku no Rensa and appreciated that kind of tension-forward storytelling, or if Kimi no Na wo Yobeba's character-driven setup worked for you, this scratches a similar itch with a workplace twist. Fans of Kowaremono: Risa The Animation who want something with a sharper edge and a clear power hierarchy will probably find Misaki's particular energy pretty compelling. It's a niche premise executed with a clear sense of what it wants to be, and for the audience it's made for, it delivers exactly that.
