Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It
Oshimeter
Synopsis
It is widely believed that science can provide rational explanations for the countless phenomena of our universe. However, there are many aspects of our existence that science has not yet found a solution to and cannot decipher with numbers. The most notorious of these is the concept of love. While it may seem impossible to apply scientific theory to such an intricate and complex emotion, a daring pair of quick-witted Saitama University scientists aim to take on the challenge. One day the bold and beautiful Ayame Himuro outwardly declares that she is in love with Shinya Yukimura, her fellow logical and level-headed scientist. Acknowledging his own lack of experience with romance, Yukimura questions what factors constitute love in the first place and whether he is in love with Himuro or not. Both clueless in the dealings of love, the pair begin to conduct detailed experiments on one another to test the human characteristics that indicate love and discern whether they demonstrate these traits toward each other. As Himuro and Yukimura begin their intimate analysis, can the two scientists successfully apply scientific theory, with the help of their friends, to quantify the feelings they express for one another?

The visuals at the end of this episode are a real treat. The conflict between Himuro and Yukimura makes this ending particularly memorable. Their psychological overthinking is explored in great detail. The characters performances also lead to some plot twists. The intimate moments also make their character development feel natural. Overall, this is a high quality comedy featuring sharp parodies and sarcastic yet unique inner monologues.
This is where the misunderstandings begin. The conflict is enough to get our blood pumping as we watch it unfold. However, the plot flows well with its fast paced narrative. The atmosphere becomes awkward halfway through, which adds to the uniqueness of this episode. It's so relatable to see how their friends react when faced with the two of them, this time accompanied by some pretty deep emotions. However, the ending is truly shocking.
It was very emotional to watch Himuro at the start, she conveyed his emotions to the audience effectively. As the episode reached its midpoint, the atmosphere became intense, reflecting the participants' tension. However, the comedic interludes lightened the mood, the humour was spot on! There are also have down to earth lessons we can learn from the way the characters professionalism is portrayed.
Seeing Yukimura’s innocence at the start of the episode caused my sense of logic to slowly crumble. With such captivating visuals, I couldn’t bear to look away for a moment, it was that beautiful. The atmosphere felt refreshing, and the narrative was solid. Kosuke and Ena’s interaction at the end of the episode was also funny.
I always find the antics of Kosuke, Professor Ikeda and Ibarada hilarious. They all make the atmosphere even more intense with all the chaos, but there are also a few emotional moments that really tug at my heartstrings. The introduction of new characters also drives the story forward.
The warmth of the Ikeda Lab members is really evident in their camaraderie at the start of this episode, it’s so sweet🩵 The antics of some of the characters are absolutely adorable to watch, they’re so funny! The plot is becoming increasingly intriguing, which really makes us daydream. I think this is an even more soothing version than the previous episodes haha
This episode really resonates with the lives of ordinary couples! The importance of atmosphere in a relationship is key to creating a deep connection and special vibe that strengthens the couple's bond. It’s a really relaxing watch, and the funny moments are sure to make you laugh. The characters are portrayed very naturally, which is complemented by the beautiful evening scenery.
