We love a good beach episode!!!

Kotaro crying really hits hard. Both brothers are clearly still carrying the trauma of losing their parents so young, and seeing normally calm Kotaro cry out of worry for Ryu is so 😭😭😭

Episode Context

Sitting at the three-quarter mark of a twelve-episode run, Episode 9 pivots from the more event-driven Episode 8 beach outing toward deeper character introspection, signaling the series' shift into its emotional endgame. By centering the Kashima and Kamitani sibling dynamics, it crystallizes relationships that have been developing since the early episodes and lays essential groundwork for the final stretch. This is the kind of bridge episode that transforms a pleasant slice-of-life into something with genuine payoff heading into episodes 10 through 12.
