Synopsis
Nozomu Itoshiki is a high school teacher so pessimistic that even the smallest of misfortunes can send him into a pit of raging despair; some of these "catastrophes" even lead to suicide attempts. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is a satirical slice-of-life comedy set in the modern day, covering various aspects of Japanese life and culture through Nozomu and his interactions with his students: Kiri Komori, a recluse who refuses to leave the school; Abiru Kobushi, an enigma who frequently arrives to class with severe and mysterious injuries; the hyper-optimistic Kafuuka Fuura, Nozomu's polar opposite; and several other unusual girls, all of whom are just as eccentric as their teacher.

The first half... I've been there sensei, actually thought that fan-made was specific for that type of content, on the other half, it's fun that this is an anime from 2007 but this critic it's more alive than ever, nothing like read society so well that the parody is still alive
Liked the introduction to the family, but I felt like it was too short, even the main reason for Sensei to be "missing" felt like it was quickly resolved, although I found it funny It would have been better to extend a bit more on it
The style it's great, the ost and sound effects are beautiful, and iwell applied, I really like the way of this anime to present the characters, like the names are perfect for each of them and show their more extreme and characteristic traits, and the comedy, still great
As expected, this episode doesn’t follow up on the previous cliffhanger. It focuses on distrust in one’s own judgment while introducing two new students, which feels odd this late, more like an early episode than a finale. Still, it’s a good show overall.
What better way to end the season than in a classic Zetsubou sensei style? They really saved the best for last with the amazing segment of guilt complex girl and innocent girl. Enjoyable through and through with fun characters, great gags and references. One of a kind show.
A good episode that focuses on escapism. I really liked the first part, the metaphor used for the social commentary is funny. It’s nice to see Komori in the main story for once. The ending is shocking, but since this is a comedy, it’s hard to take it seriously.
Darkness in my funny anime? Unexpected cliff hanger at the end. This was one of the better episodes with a lot of thoughts of despair. I really enjoyed the segment about escape routes, a gag very much set in reality. One of the stronger ones of the show.
You could say this episode is a preview. I had no idea where the first half was going with the school festival, but the running gag had me laughing. Well done. The stoic narration does well for the comedy. Another strong episode, with a lot of previewing and a lot of cute artwork
This episode covers the culture festival and field trip. Both parts revolve around doing the bare minimum, putting in the least effort or commitment possible. It still follows the same formula, just with different settings, but still funny.
This episode introduces Majiru, Nozomu’s nephew. The first part disscuss about mistakes, while the second is about proof, which interestingly complement each other. Aside from that, it still follows the usual formula, but it’s still a fun watch.
This episode focuses on and introduces Usui Kagero, one of the few named male students. In the manga, this is where he’s introduced, but ironically he isn’t the focus, so I really like this change. I also laughed at the Scream parody at the end.
