The story and atmosphere get heavier because of Megumi and Yamato’s dynamic. Kinda saw it coming tbh. Mei stays pretty strong, even if she slips a bit, and thankfully she’s got two solid friends. There’s also a little surprise at the end!

Mei keeps everything inside, and you can really feel her doubt. It’s frustrating but also very real. Yamato shows he cares in a strong way and really deeply. It’s simple, a bit heavy, and shows how hard it is to trust and feel enough. Love is a really complicated thing sometimes.
