Sasaki and Miyano
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A first-year at an all-boys high school, Yoshikazu Miyano has a secret: he's really into BL manga. Not exactly something he broadcasts. Then second-year Shuumei Sasaki breaks up a fight nearby, and suddenly this tall, slightly delinquent-looking upperclassman keeps showing up in Miyano's life. Giving him nicknames. Borrowing his manga. Finding excuses to hang around. Miyano can't figure out if Sasaki is just weirdly friendly or if something else is going on, and honestly, he's not sure he wants to examine that question too closely. This is a 12-episode TV series that nails the slow-burn better than most romance anime even attempt. The pacing is genuinely patient: Sasaki's feelings become clear pretty early, but Miyano's side is where the real story lives. Watching him slowly untangle what he actually feels versus what he thinks he should feel is surprisingly compelling. There's a neat meta layer too, since Miyano keeps reading BL stories while being oblivious to the one unfolding around him. The vibe is warm and low-stakes. No melodrama, no love triangles manufactured for conflict. Just two people figuring things out at a realistic pace. Studio Deen gave it clean, soft animation that fits the tone well. If you liked Given for its grounded emotional honesty, or Doukyuusei for that gentle school-life atmosphere, this one's in that same lane. It's the kind of show you watch on a quiet evening and just feel good after.

sadly it had so much potential, my fave’s scene is when Sasaki gets jealous and that’s what i gave the stars for. why did he HAVE to be such a femboy? i can’t stand his voice!!! secondly i know many people like it but this is my review and i don’t, i hate the using the stereotypes of manga tropes inside an anime, i know it’s intentional but i just don’t enjoy it.
The movie
All of it, as a romance anime lover. This was amazing
Cute wholesome story. Every character is a green flag
The support from his friends and the visuals in the scene, absolutely perfect!!
It felt like Hanzawa was giving them their blessings, and I'm so happy he is happy for them!!!
Miyano is so cute with a bow in his hair, make up and everything!!
Miyano has his thoughts running a little wild, he is really melting!!
Aside from Miyano, Ogasawara is so cute in cross dressing.
Oop Sasaki gets slightly jealous 8(>_<)8
I love how Sasaki really appreciates Miyano genuinely thinking about all that's going on.
Oooohhh he confessed!! Can't miss this it's so cute.
Miyano is still battling his thoughts as to whether he likes boys or girls. This is so interesting.
The way Sasaki was blushing so hard at the door, I'm squealing!!
Can't get over at how beautiful the visuals are. Miyano was caught in 4k here too it's hilarious.
Omg the way Sasaki confused Miyano for a girl 😭
A beautiful and satisfying ending, without needing big twists. It leaves you with a sense of peace and affection for the characters.
Feels deeper, with a special vibe that gives meaning to the story. It hooks you and sets the stage for the finale.
