i though at first Ukyo would be the typical annoying simp of every anime, turns out he is pretty intelligent and strategic, it was a good clif hanger because it left me waiting for action

This is the build up that is definitely needed. Our groups continued from before, but our focus are mostly on Kanbei, who is now scheming again, from scene to scene we're shown how smart and adaptable this man is. Then with Katsushiro's group, we're seeing his resolve, but also having Kikuchiyo means their group has lots of chaos, especially the infiltration scene lol. And then the capital people, seeing how Ukyo change things around. I even feel bad for Sanae and the girls. And they cut it right where I know we'll get most excitement, which is pumping me with excitement!

What a dreadful action Ukyo did, tsk there's no stopping to this atrocities. The companionship of this samurai is really great. This episode shows the harsh reality of living below than below of the food chain. We're trampled and spitted to the core by the so-called government. It's devastating to realized that doing what is right in this wicked world is simple, but not easy.
