The fight continues, however, it feels slow imo. Apart's backstory was okayish, the post fight scenes gave me mixed feelings. However, Slur's reveal was unexpected. Gaku and Slur massacring the JAA building was dark and interesting to watch. It helped the slow start fade away.

Its a real mystery what does the main villain wants. and the blue hair lady form the OP. The back story is sad and surely twisted, the psychological and childhood trauma is scary. That is some disturbing laugh. Its sad. Its funny how he pretends to stay unaware and unconscious.

The beat down is intense and there is quite a bit of dialog between Apart and Sakamoto. Also get to know what Slur is trying to do this episode but not the reason why. Also staying after the credits roll is smart get a cute look at life in the Sakamoto shop/family.

The Tokyo Tower fight is peak choreography but Takamura’s "blink and you miss it" intervention stole the show for me. Apart's backstory is sad and disgusting at the same time! And that cliffhanger with Gaku? Chills🥶

Apart's backstory is SAD. never fit in. thought killing would fill the void. it didn't. Heisuke landing that shot? Apart's face when he realized he was beaten? Slur's plan is bigger than just killing Sakamoto. 🌆

A tense and revealing episode that blends action with darker character backstory. The confrontation with Apart carries weight, while the shifting focus toward a larger plan builds intrigue. It steadily raises stakes without losing momentum.

This episode flips Sakamoto’s fights, no lean form, just pure technique and timing. Every exchange with Apart feels tighter, riskier, and more calculated. You see experience over power now. The tension stays constant. Pushes the story toward a more strategic direction.

Overall, each episode continues to be solid. While building momentum, they have really captured the manga well and push the plot forward. I loved the balanced narrative between antagonist and protagonist, particularly the way they show each antagonist's backstory.

Apart’s backstory shows how society shapes villains, making his actions more tragic and complex. The real question is whether he can be redeemed now with Sakamoto or if his past controls him. Meanwhile, Slur’s plan to destroy the JAA raises the stakes for the next episode.

Apart's backstory hits harder than expected someone who literally cannot form human connections seeking meaning through killing is genuinely tragic, not just evil. Then X/Slur gets a full reveal. The contrast is chef's kiss 🤌

Episode 4 is the last section that sets the stage for the next episode of the journey. The level of importance has changed from pure Action to a tense scene with a lot of different parts

The movement around the tower gives the fight a different kind of energy.
Tracking the opponent becomes part of the challenge itself.
It’s a nice shift from straightforward combat.

This episode tackles Apart backstory, which I think is the darkest among the death row prisoners. This episode doesn't excite me that much compared to past eps but it has important new characters introduced.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the intense confrontations in 'Strong Assault,' this fourth episode pivots the narrative toward the larger threat posed by the enigmatic Slur and his machinations, moving beyond isolated battles into a conflict with wider consequences. Positioned roughly at the one-third mark of Part 2's eleven episodes, it functions as a critical turning point where the season's stakes escalate significantly. The groundwork laid here directly sets up the escalating challenges and broader power struggles that will define the back half of the season.
