Saimin Jutsu The Animation 2nd
Oshimeter
Synopsis
By every definition of the word, Susumu is a doormat. He lives with his overbearing mother in a condo, gets pushed around constantly, and has basically accepted that this is just his life. Then a new neighbor moves in and teaches him hypnotism, and suddenly the most passive guy in the building has a lot of power and very few ethical guardrails. He starts with the neighbors — a mother and daughter next door — before turning his attention closer to home. That tension between his meek, introverted self and what he's now capable of is where the story lives, and it's uncomfortable in a way that feels intentional. The character designs are detailed and expressive, and the soundtrack does a solid job of building atmosphere. Studio Eromatick keeps things grounded in the condo setting, which gives it a claustrophobic, intimate feel that suits the subject matter. It's a 2-episode OVA adapted from a visual novel, so don't expect a lot of breathing room — it moves quickly and stays focused. If you've watched something like Yokorenbo: Immoral Mother or Inda no Himekishi Janne and appreciated that mix of character-driven setup with explicit content, this hits a similar note. Fans of Mahou Shoujo Elena who liked the domestic tension angle will also find familiar ground here. It's a short watch, the premise is dark, and it doesn't pretend otherwise.
